About
The old mosque’s minaret, which is attached to the Church of Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación, is a 14th-century Almohad architectural jewel.
This 15-metre-high red-brick square tower is the only Nasrid jewel that is preserved in the district.
Designated a National Historic-Artistic Monument in 1979, it is considered one of the best examples of Almohad architecture that still stands.
