About
The Arch of San Lorenzo is the only remaining remains of the old Parish Church of San Lorenzo de Jaén, which dated from the late thirteenth or early fourteenth century.
Inside the tower there is a small chapel decorated with beautiful Moorish tiles and plasterwork. It is considered a National Monument by Royal Order of October 11, 1877.
In 1981, the General Directorate of Fine Arts ceded the use of the Arch to the "Friends of San Antón" Association, which has been in charge of carrying out the corresponding restorations since then. Inside, conferences organized by this association on Jaén topics are held.
