Euroidiomas offer Spanish courses and programmes with host families in Úbeda (UNESCO World Heritage City).
Úbeda is a quiet and safe town where people are friendly, sociable and outgoing. There are few foreigners, so it is a perfect place to immerse yourself in the Spanish language and culture. Jaén, the province in which it is located, has the highest concentration of fortifications in Europe. In the region of Andalusia, unlike other regions in Spain, the people, public institutions and media only speak in Spanish. Úbeda is located between the stunning nature reserves of Sierra de Cazorla, Sierra de Mágina, Sierra de Despeñaperros and Sierra Morena, an hour and a half by car from Granada and Cordoba, and two and a half hours from Malaga, Seville and Almería.
There is the option of combining Spanish courses with courses on Spanish culture, flamenco dance or traditional crafts.
The course includes:
- Morning lessons, 9am to 1.30pm, Monday to Friday, for 4 weeks (80 hours). Courses start on Monday and end on Friday, but can be adapted to students' flight dates. The methodology of the course is based on the following: reading, listening, social interaction, writing and learning the culture, including food, history, craftwork and climatic diversity. Úbeda is a small town but it has all the facilities of a big city. There are few foreigners, so students can immerse themselves completely.
- Accommodation in a family home with local families, full board.
- Learning materials.
- Course certificate. Price: €1,700 per student (for groups of at least 3 students. For 1 or 2 students, the price would be €2,000)
Student payments are made directly to the Úbeda Language School.
Students must make a payment of 20% of the course when booking and the rest is paid the first week of the course in Úbeda.

Other information

The first day, in the afternoon, a route will be made to get to know the city.

On Wednesday they will go to know the artisan trades that are in Úbeda: Traditional pottery, Forge, Esparto.
