About
The construction work on the Palace of the Marquises of Benamejí began at the beginning of the 18th century inÉcija, Seville. The enormous façade is made of brick with a stone skirting board. Two large towers at either end make this building look majestic.
As you go through the door, a large archway leads to the yard and stables, which house the "Caballerizas de Benamejí" Audiovisual Interpretation Centre.
Under the staircase you get to the main courtyard that has two floors with semi-circular arches resting on columns, and a stone fountain in the centre.
The Palace of the Marquises of Benamejí houses the Municipal Historical Museum, which exhibits a collection of archaeological items found during urban excavations.
The Écija Municipal Historic Museum offers Benamejí Palace as a centre for conferences, congresses, training courses, business presentations and other events. The Museum's spaces allow the Palace to be used in its entirety (for example, holding conferences, audiovisual sessions, and additional receptions with drinks, canapés or meals) at affordable prices. The impressive setting of Benamejí Palace makes it the perfect place for any activity open to the public.
