Festival Internacional de Jazz en la Costa

About

38th edition

The Town Hall of Almuñécar and the Provincial Council of Granada are the organisers of the International Jazz en la Costa Festival, which is now celebrating its 37th edition making it one of the oldest international jazz festivals in Europe.
Located in the most southern part of the European continent, facing Africa, surrounded by extraordinary vegetation and in an environment rich in historical heritage, under a Moorish fortress and next to Phoenician ruins, Jazz en la Costa is a great attraction because it is right next to the Mar de Alborán and is surrounded by the exuberant vegetation of the Costa Tropical.
An incomparable setting to enjoy live music. Awarded the seal of quality by the European Commission European Association of Festivals, as well as other awards, throughout its history the Festival has seen an extraordinary selection of musicians and music.
From the Mediterranean to the Caribbean, from New Orleans to Cádiz, Jazz en la Costa has enjoyed performances by wonderful musicians like Paquito D`Rivera, Rosa Passos, Branford Marsalis, Tete Montoliú, Kenny Barron, Joe Zawinul, Dave Holland, Chano Domínguez, G. Porter, Joshua Redman, Eliane Elias, Jorge Pardo, Gregory Porter, José James, Charles Lloyd, Cecil McLorin, Hiromi, and Chucho Valdés.
