The Vuelta a España arrives in Andalusia on the sixth stage. The Vuelta will depart from Sanlucar de Barrameda 500 years after the exact day when Juan Sebastián Elcano returned to Spain after sailing around the world for the first time.

For the first time, the route will pass through all eight provinces of the Autonomous Community of Andalusia.
